Capacity Building Program.

A breakthrough is not just an achievement; it is a bold shift in the way we see and experience the world. It can arrive as an opportunity, a challenge, or even a moment of clarity, but what defines it is the courage to move beyond comfort zones into new possibilities. MANFORD (Management Foundation for Organizational Research and Development) embodies this philosophy. Since its inception in 1993, MANFORD has been at the forefront of leadership transformation, working with individuals, organizations, and institutions to unlock hidden potential, dismantle obstacles, and realign visions for growth. Headquartered in India and led by renowned behavioral scientist Dr. David Anand, MANFORD has collaborated with startups, global corporate, government departments, and educational institutions across countries, bringing about deep change through reflective yet rigorous processes. In 2003, MANFORD entered into a meaningful collaboration with HELP Foundation, J&K, to bring its flagship Breakthrough Workshops (BTW) to Kashmir. This partnership came at a time when the region was facing unique social and professional challenges, and the initiative was met with tremendous enthusiasm. Since then, more than 100 workshops have been conducted, engaging a diverse group of participants and professionals such as doctors, engineers, lawyers, journalists, and professors, as well as students, social workers, and leaders from organizations including the University of Kashmir, Department of School Education, IMPARD, Police Department, Tourism Department, Social Welfare Department, and JAKEDA.

MANFORD, through its collaboration with HELP Foundation, has helped individuals in Kashmir not only cope with challenges but also transform them into opportunities for growth and renewal. The workshops stand as living proof that when individuals and organizations align their strengths with shared values, outcomes once considered impossible can, indeed, be achieved.

These sessions have been offered free of charge, ensuring inclusivity and widespread impact. Each year, Dr. Anand and his team visit Kashmir to facilitate intensive three to four day residential workshops, guiding participants through processes of self-discovery, teamwork, and leadership. Help foundation has assigned a particular space at Inderhama were these workshops are conducted every time.Given the fact that people in Kashmir have gone through immense psychological stress due to prolonged political issues, natural disasters, unemployment, and the limited participation of women in the workforce, along with many other challenges, introducing Manford here was indeed a thoughtful initiative by HELP Foundation. The presence of Mr. David Anand and his team, through their transformative workshops, has provided people with the power to rise above their difficult pasts and look ahead with renewed hope and clarity. These workshops are designed to break mental barriers, unlock inner strength, and guide participants towards personal and professional growth. So far, hundreds of individuals have attended these sessions and have personally experienced the Breakthrough Process, which has positively affected their outlook on life, their confidence, and their ability to deal with challenges. The focus of these Breakthrough Workshops rests on two powerful pillars. The first is Achievement Motivation, which helps individuals and teams believe that going “extra to the ordinary” enables extraordinary performance. It encourages adaptability, accountability, and responsible goal setting in a rapidly changing environment. The second is Transformational Leadership, which acts as a catalyst for organizational renewal, trust-building, and shared vision. Together, these approaches nurture creativity, problem solving, cooperation, and assertiveness, while also creating energized work environments that empower both leaders and their teams. The impact of MANFORD’s approach has been profound. Participants consistently report a renewed sense of confidence, stronger teamwork, and a clearer direction for both personal and professional growth. By cultivating a culture of reflection, resilience, and openness.
