From humble beginnings with just 8 students in 2000, Shah Anwar Memorial School has grown into a beacon of hope in conflict-affected Kupwara. Today, we celebrate:

02:-Mobile Library/Shehjar Library.
In 2002, when digital access was nonexistent in Kashmir, HELP Foundation pioneered the valley's first Mobile Library - a book-filled van that brought knowledge directly to remote villages. This innovative solution.
• Delivered books to students and communities cut off from educational resources
• Laid the foundation for our permanent Shehjar Library (established 2004)

04:-Education Sponsorship. ( 2006 Till Date).
Since 2006, we've empowered 25,000+ students by removing financial obstacles to education through comprehensive sponsorship support. Our program provides school/university fees, textbooks, supplies, and interest-free education loans, enabling underprivileged youth to pursue their academic dreams. By breaking these economic barriers, we've helped transform lives and create new opportunities across Jammu & Kashmir.
05:-Pragaash Project (Lolab Valley) (year 2008).
In the remote Lolab Valley, we launched a transformative education initiative that:
• Provided quality schooling for 682 children, including 251 orphans
• Established Kashmir's first computer lab in a rural school
• Offered vocational training programs for women
• Delivered free uniforms, books, and transport support
This holistic project not only educated children but empowered entire families, bringing digital literacy and economic opportunities to one of Kashmir's most underserved regions.
Key Achievements Of PRAGASH Project were:-

07:-Mine Risk Education ( Year 2015)
In high-risk border regions of Jammu & Kashmir, our Mine Risk Education initiative has saved countless lives through targeted safety interventions. Partnering with local authorities and international experts, we've trained 1,200+ villagers in landmine identification and avoidance techniques across Kupwara, Rajouri, and Poonch districts.

Founding Legacy (1998)
In 1998, our organization embarked on its transformative journey in healthcare by pioneering medical services in conflict-affected Jammu & Kashmir. That year, we launched our first mega medical camp in Habak Chanpora, providing critical care to 2,000 patients suffering from respiratory diseases, a milestone that laid the foundation for our enduring commitment to delivering healthcare in underserved regions. These early camps not only addressed urgent medical needs but also marked the beginning of our mission to bring hope and healing to vulnerable communities
01:-Child Guidance & Counselling Centre (2002-2010)
From 2002 to 2010.
our Child Guidance & Counselling Centre in Srinagar provided vital mental health support to over 6,000 children, offering free services such as counseling, speech therapy, and personality development programs. Dedicated to early intervention, the center addressed behavioral and emotional challenges through 750+ specialized mental health sessions, ensuring that young minds received the care and guidance needed to thrive. This initiative underscored our commitment to nurturing the psychological well-being of children in vulnerable communities.
02:-Mariam Wellness Centre (2012-2020)
From 2012 to 2020, the Mariam Wellness Centre emerged as a beacon of holistic care, providing treatment to 10,500+ patients grappling with mental health challenges, addiction, and domestic violence. The centre’s School Mental Health Program extended support to 11,100+ students and teachers, fostering emotional resilience in educational settings. Beyond counseling, the initiative organized 30+ medical camps, offering critical services such as cancer screenings, flood relief, and 150 annual Doppler ultrasounds. Additionally, specialized care in gynecology, dentistry, and physiotherapy ensured comprehensive healthcare access, reinforcing the centre’s commitment to healing and empowerment.
03:-Medical Camps (Decade Summary)
Over the past decade, our medical outreach initiatives have made a profound impact across Jammu & Kashmir, providing essential healthcare services to over 30,000 individuals. These camps have played a pivotal role in early detection and intervention, identifying 89 cancer cases and enabling timely treatment. With a strong focus on mental health support, cancer screenings, and chronic disease management, our efforts have brought critical medical care to underserved communities, improving health outcomes and saving lives. This decade-long commitment reflects our unwavering dedication to accessible and preventive healthcare in the region.
04:-Respiratory Management Unit (2018-Present)
Since 2018, the Respiratory Management Unit has been transforming lives by providing free, life-saving respiratory equipment—including oxygen concentrators, BiPAP machines, and nebulizers—to over 20,250+ patients in need. By operating on a zero-cost model, the unit has eliminated rental fees, ensuring accessible, equitable care for vulnerable populations while maintaining a critical lifeline for those battling respiratory conditions.
05:-Shehjar Clinical Lab (2021-Present)
Since 2021, Shehjar Clinical Lab has been bridging healthcare gaps by offering affordable diagnostic services, conducting 8,600+ tests at minimal cost to ensure accessibility. Equipped with advanced technology and a convenient home collection service, the lab extends its reach to underserved communities through health camps in areas like Tulsi Bagh and Solina, delivering quality care to those who need it most.
06:-Healthy Minds Project (2019-2023)
From 2019 to 2023, the Healthy Minds Project made mental healthcare accessible by providing 1,000+ tele-counseling sessions during the COVID-19 pandemic, offering critical support in times of isolation. Through 400+ outreach events, the initiative reached and assisted 15,000+ individuals, breaking stigmas and fostering mental well-being. Strategic partnerships with the Juvenile Center and Cancer Society of Kashmir further expanded its impact, delivering compassionate care to vulnerable communities.
07:-Emergency Medical Services (2019-Present)
Since 2019, our Emergency Medical Services have been a lifeline across four districts, swiftly responding to 1,945 emergencies with precision and care. Operating 24/7 free ambulance services, we maintain an impressive average response time of just 10.7 minutes, ensuring critical aid reaches those in need without delay. With an 89.7% patient satisfaction rate, our commitment to timely, compassionate emergency care continues to save lives and build trust in communities.

08:-Jan Aushadhi Stores (2017-Present).
180,000 lives touched. 4 communities served. 1 mission: making medicines affordable for all. Through our stores in Rajbagh, Pampore, Inderhama and Kupwara, we're turning the PM's vision into reality – one prescription at a time. Because when quality generics replace costly brands, healthcare becomes a right, not a privilege.
09:-COVID-19 Response (2020-2021).
When Breath Was Precious, For the family members isolating from eachother with COVID, we delivered medicine kits. For the daily wage worker in lockdown, cash grants meant survival. For the nurse on 72-hour shifts, N95 masks brought protection. Our pandemic response touched 20,000 families, built 125 life-saving hygiene stations, and deployed 60 oxygen concentrators when hospitals gasped for air - proving that even in crisis, Kashmiris protect Kashmiris.
10:-Medical Cash Assistance.
When Treatment Costs More Than Hope
For 23,000 Kashmiris facing cancer, organ failure, or complex surgeries, our Medical Cash Assistance became the difference between despair and recovery. Every rupee is accountability-checked, medical reports verified, incomes assessed, treatments monitored, so a mother’s chemotherapy in Delhi or a child’s heart surgery in Chandigarh never gets cancelled for lack of funds. Because in critical care, delay is denial, and we deny no deserving patient.
11:-Center for Mental Health (2016-2018)
Where Minds Found Refuge.
In a region where every family carries unseen scars, our Center became Kashmir's first dedicated space for conflict trauma recovery. For the:
• 1,538 survivors who learned to process grief through CBT
• 24 local counselors we equipped with evidence-based skills
• Countless families who discovered healing happens together
We proved that even wounds of war can mend—when met with science, compassion, and community.
